Josh Crandall brings over two decades of specialized experience in Healthcare and Senior Living food service to Forefront. A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management, Crandall has dedicated his career to developing innovative dining strategies and transforming meal plans to enhance the dining experience in client communities. His expertise includes pioneering memory support dining initiatives, reflecting his commitment to improving quality of life through thoughtful nutrition solutions.
Crandall’s journey began with 11 years of distinguished service in the US Army Infantry and Army National Guard, where he was honored as the US Army Research Lab Soldier of the Year in 2002 during a homeland defense deployment. This background instilled in him a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and dedication to service.
Recognized as the 2007 Emerging Professional of the Year by the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Society, Crandall remains actively involved with his alma mater through the Alumni Mentoring Program. His commitment to professional development and mentorship underscores his leadership in the field.
Residing in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, with his wife and two daughters, Crandall’s personal passions extend to sustainable food production and healthy aging. He maintains a small family homestead that produces a variety of sustainable foods, engages in beekeeping, and enjoys gardening. His love for the outdoors includes hiking, camping, and other activities that keep him connected to nature.
