Dan Bowen

Dan Bowen is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Forefront, one of the most innovative and fastest growing food service and facility management companies in the nation. Bowen provides the strategic vision and is the driving force for growth at Forefront, and for over 36 years, has been known as a highly effective, dynamic, and trusted business leader.

Before founding Forefront, Bowen was the Industry Group President of ABM Healthcare and Senior Vice President of ABM Industries from 2012 to 2018. During his tenure at ABM, he spearheaded their first entry into healthcare support services, where he successfully oversaw the integration of HHA Services, Healthcare Parking Services of America and ABM Health into ABM Healthcare.
For more than 22 years prior, Bowen was an owner, President and Managing Partner at HHA Services, the nation’s 2nd largest privately held healthcare and senior living support services company.
Bowen is an active member of multiple executive and industry groups, including the Detroit Economic Club, the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), the Association for the Healthcare Environments (AHE), the Society for Hospitality & Food Service Management (SHFM), the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA), and the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
Passionate about civic and community life, Bowen is an active volunteer and donor to The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, The Greening of Detroit, Gleaners Community Food Bank, and The Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
Bowen has a Bachelor of Science in Management & Marketing from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and a Masters of Business Administration in Management & Labor Relations from University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan.
